Social standing

Well as if dating isnt hard enough then you find people who go and complicate it even more

Lets say you meet someone over the phone or the internet but never meet face to face and you absolutely fall inlove with each other

This is you not knowing whether the person you are chatting with is a cleaner, CEO or truck driver but you just fall inlove with them

Then you meet and the first thing you do is look a person up and down to see how they are dressed and whether they are clean shaven or wearing make-up so as to assess whether you are at the same social class level

To some this would be a game changer because they feel you wont “get” each other or for some other reason foreign to me

Some people say if you are at different social class levels then you wont understand each other or at some point it will become a factor which could cause the relationship not to work

It took me a while to understand this and to a certain extent I still disagree with it

I will not date a person simply because they earn so much money or if they come from a particular background which would indicate what social standing they are in

A female friend of mine has tried to convince me that your social standing in life does play a role in who you interact with

I was friends with this particular individual a man who just couldnt understand why at times I would leave our gatherings because I had to go and study

Now if we were at the same social level then you wouldnt even need to ask me such a question

So now I am left wondering if it applies to dating too????
